Marc’s studio is overrun with colors and material, an orderly place where evidence remains of him juxtaposing color, line, and form, his go-to tools Exacto blades and Scotch tape. With a strong relationship to decorative pattern, he riffs off Behr paint samples, damask wallpaper, and album covers. His work concerns itself with cultural and visual language, and semiotics. Borrowing from the likes of Sontag and Salinger, Marc investigates philosophical questions and creates spaces for others to join him – to wonder, to think and, perhaps most importantly, to see. He has exhibited his work regionally and in New York, London, and Denver, where he also plays guitar in a rock band called Sunday Girl.
