  • BFA: Lewis & Clark College, 2007

Jess works publicly and privately, making interactive sculpture that can be found in the home, alleyways, city parks, and on a frozen lake. She surveys the delicate nature of healing and is interested in translating alternative medicine into simple forms of experience. This year’s Blue Lagoon Hot Pot was a participatory piece in which she transformed a dumpster into a working hot tub and simulated the secret ingredients from Iceland’s restorative waters. Recently out of graduate school, she’s gearing up for a forthcoming exhibition at the Spaces Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio.
